I have to check for the Ottoman spelling, but the modern spelling of the word is fukaracık, from fukara (from Arabic, فقراء, which is the plural of فقير which means "poor") and the dimunitive suffix -cık. Barishan (συζήτηση) 21:57, 29 Ιανουαρίου 2021 (UTC)

☏ Barishan the -ίκος is used only for proper nouns (names like Αντρίκος, diminutive of Andrew (Αντρέας) and comes probably from arumanic, but I am not sure yet. ‑‑Sarri.greek ^♫ | 22:01, 29 Ιανουαρίου 2021 (UTC)
