emigrate vs immigrate vs migrate[επεξεργασία]

Emigrate means to leave one's country to live in another. Immigrate is to come into another country to live permanently. Migrate is to move, like birds in the winter. The choice between emigrate, immigrate, and migrate depends on the sentence's point of view.

User:Sarri.greek You shouldn’t remove emigrate as an antonym that’s actually really important for non-English speakers to know since emigrate and immigrate are spelled so similarly. I emigrated from Greece means I left Greece and went somewhere else but with no mention of where I’m going. I immigrated from Greece also implies I left Greece but it’s actually talking about going to the new place instead of leaving from Greece. en.wiktionary has them as antonyms but again I don’t want to touch your edits so it’s up to you!
