συνδικαλίζομαι

☏ Sarri.greek Καλημέρα — where is «συνδικαλίζω»? One thing leads to another! I was creating ασυνδικάλιστος which naturally led to «συνδικάτο» and its related words. Amongst which was «συνδικαλίζομαι» which I labelled as deponent, the active form is missing from all dictionaries that I've consulted - except [Πύλη]. Google shows that the active is used a lot less common than the passive. Is the active form a back-formation? Should I include it in Wiktionary. Incidentally, neither is very common - an unhappy situation(!) unless there is a more common verb!! — Saltmarsh^🢃 07:57, 16 Ιανουαρίου 2024 (UTC)

Good morning ☏ Saltmarsh! -hope you don't mind my moving this here-. O! Thank you for the tip. My style is: if at least one source gives a certain form, then we should include it. Yes, I shall correct it here too. It is assumed, that the professional lexicographer has already checked the form. Not sure of 'back-formation', but I think you are right!

This Reverse-Dictionary is a very good checking source: συνδικαλιζ- words@AnastasiadiReverseDict also see συνδικα- words. Because it includes more forms that any normal Dictionary. OK, going to fix συνδικαλίζω, here too!! I am grateful to you! Varieties of Greek

Dear ☏ Sarri.greek — I'm afraid that I find it impossible to take part in a sensible debate in writing. First, I have to read and make sense of other's arguments. And then I have to respond, I have fatal ability to continually rewrite every paragraph thus consuming a whole morning.
My absence in partly explained by taking up programming again (I'm learning Python) — at work I used to write in a number of languages (and I created and passed on a calendar program for genealogist in my private life) — to occupy myself and keep the brain active! So I have not been 'here' as frequently as the past!
English manages to have Old, Middle and Modern varieties, why not the many more millennia of Greek. — Saltmarsh^🢃 07:01, 9 Φεβρουαρίου 2024 (UTC)

Ασυνέριστος

☏ Sarri.greek — γεια — I need help with this uncommon word not on Biki. My el/en dictionary translates it as "uncomplaining", Google and Bing translate give "incoherent", and a web dictionary says "uncooperative" — Mbampi has no entry.
