Γεια σου, Themistokl, και καλωσόρισες στο Βικιλεξικό! Η "παρέα" μας μεγαλώνει μέρα με τη μέρα κι αυτό είναι ιδιαίτερα ευχάριστο, διότι κάθε συνεισφορά είναι ευπρόσδεκτη και σημαντική!!

Κάτι σχετικό με τα πνευματικά δικαιώματα. Το να αναγράφουμε ότι «πήραμε» ένα κείμενο από το τάδε λεξικό δεν αρκεί: δεν πρέπει να παίρνουμε κείμενο από οποιαδήποτε πηγή δεν το επιτρέπει ξεκάθαρα. Γι' αυτό, ο πιο απλός τρόπος είναι να γράφουμε μόνοι μας τους ορισμούς (δηλαδή με δικά μας λόγια) αναφέροντας την πηγή μας.

Ελπίζω να σου αρέσει να επεξεργάζεσαι τα λήμματα του Βικιλεξικού και να γίνεις τακτικός βικιλεξικογράφος! Για να υπογράψεις ένα μήνυμα ή για να ψηφίσεις, πληκτρολόγησε τέσσερις φορές το χαρακτήρα ~ ή πάτησε το κουμπί της υπογραφής (). Δεν υπογράφουμε τα λήμματα, μόνο τα μηνύματα ή τις συζητήσεις. Μπορείς να χρησιμοποιήσεις την προσωπική σου σελίδα, για να παρουσιαστείς στους υπόλοιπους χρήστες. Αν έρχεσαι από ένα άλλο εγχείρημα Wikimedia, μην ξεχάσεις να βάλεις συνδέσμους προς τις άλλες σελίδες σου.

Your Greek was almost correct, especially if you are not a hellenophone! (is Italian your language? You may post at your User:Themistokl page {{User el-0}} {{User it}}, etc. The Etymology needs some formation, and we will be very happy to help and explain (translate for you some of the Βοήθεια:Ετυμολογία). The reversing was mixed up with many reversals at that moment, and was meant to becaome a reediting. We assume it is your first contact with wiktionary Greek or other. Here at Βικιλεξικό, we do not have etymologists (we are a very small community). We cross-check with the English wiktionary e.g. we would look at wikt:en:mel#Latin, wikt:en:Reconstruction:Proto-Indo-European/mélit and wikt:en:Reconstruction:Latin/melem. Your source,

is fine, but unfortunately we do not have the book available. In general, we try to have references that our readers can view too. Like de Vaan's Etymological Dictionary of Latin... a reference at en.wikt *mélit

• How to write a link: our host language (Modern Greek) is always on top of page, we link with [[λέξη]]. All other languages (including Ancient Greek) are linked with {{l|word|en}} (ISO code at end. Note, that the English Wiktinary writes {{l|en|word}}
• How to write an etymology: We do it similarly with en.wikt (with some differences). Instead of 'from XX language', we write with symbol <

I have reviewd the lemma mel & created the PIE *mélit (we rarely create PIE lemmata, sorry but I am not an etymologist and I know nothing about PIE). Very well, i am indeed an italian speaker. On english etymology page for mel you should find the same things i added here as i used the etymology that was there before, with more details from my source. Thanks for the explenation of the format you are using. In the future if I have any etymology to add in βικιλεξικό i will contact you before. Neighter I am an etymologyst, but I'm studing to be one, eventhough i'm currently studing philosophy. As you have understand I know better ancient greek than modern, but with a good dictionary i'm able to write in your language.
