Trials of vector-2022 specifically for wiktionaries (cf#notes): Things missing (2023.11.) from vector-2022 (it has improved since last year) but wiktionaries are different from wikipedias:
- interwiki.languages.wiktionaries, direct click to visible main interwikis: we visit other wiktionaries very often, en, fr & definately the mother language.
- Allow styles of
__TOC__- Allow horizontal limit2 at extreme ToCs - we need to know the number of language-sections: wikt:en:A with 230 language sections (rare) but not so rare: wikt:en:te, etc.
- Allow styles to compare parallel subsections like this test (crucial comparison for language phases: Modern-Medieval-Ancient)
- or as this Chinese wikt wikt:zh:A horizontal.subsections
- Allow placing of TOC left at lots of Appendices e.g. for ancient nouns

Notes
Structure: top 3 lines=sticky - left=hide/show & drag - bodytext - (right col hide/show & drag)
- The top 3 lines remain intact as 'sticky'. Nothing moves around.
- The columns, also serve to adjust bodytext width as the user wishes with drag.

Trivial things
- Avoid the words [Hide/Show] at menus (for some languages, words are too long). Do + / -
- Discussions-Συζήτηση of lemma. make it 'Comments' (differentiate from Talk/Συζήτηση -in most languages the term is the same for both 'talk' and 'discussion', make sure people understand that THEY can comment here).
- The English titles Entry and Read do the same thing. Should have the same name too?
- Can the icons be a bit greyish, not too aggressive black.
- The old wiktionary logo is fine at large size, but makes no sense at small size: a new logo for all wiktionaries is needed for both large and small size. Commons:wiktionary logos It cannot contain one letter (of specific script). The wikipedia-globe in a different colour, perhaps...
Wiktionary specific needs:
- interwiki-Languages needed for our constant switching. Especially en, fr and definately the mother language wiktionary of a lemma.
- At the examples, the visible codes (with tooltips) are chosen by the host wiktionary. (by recommending if they exist: e.g. en, fr & the mother.language.wiktionary.
About 'Languages' preferences
- Every lang-indication has 4 options. Sort by: code - endonym - Yourlangugage - Choicelanguage e.g. English
- If Yourlanguage coincides with endonym or Choicelanguage, it is excluded.
- The Wiktrionary logo+link.to.main.pages should also include the name of their language+tooltiptranslations. (When we visit rare wiktionaries, we do not know what language it is; we know neither their code, nor their endonym).
- The Languages dropdown has too much empty space. We do not separate languages by continent. Preferably, sort-preferences x 4 at a vertical tablelist with short lineheights.
- Also: interesting to focus on the 6 United Nations languages, and other 'working' languages.
Appendices, Help pages, etc, need various styles and placings of __TOC__ If not, we will have to write them manually.

Administrators or, at least, bureaucrats of wiktionaries need licence to add interwikis and modify TOCs.
